   Christopher Otto was born and spent most of life in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He completed his Certificate and Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where he received the J. Henry Schiedt Travel Scholarship in 2015. He currently lives in Northwest Montana where he maintains a small farm and is immersed in a life of fishing, foraging, hiking, and camping with his dog Russet. His work seeks to recreate the space of experiencing new visual phenomena in nature and present paintings as those moments themselves.
